Who runs this

DayXGuitar is run by one person — Niall — in the UK. If you want anything here explained or deleted, email niall@dayxguitar.com and you'll get a reply from an actual human.

What we store

If you don't have an account: nothing about you personally. If you do, we store what you gave us — your email address, your display name, anything you post, and your check-ins and practice videos. Payments are handled entirely by Stripe; we never see or store your card details.

Cookies

Two kinds. Essential ones keep you logged in and keep forms secure — the site can't work without them. Analytics ones (Google Analytics) tell us which days get watched and whether anyone finds the forum. Those only run if you say yes, and you can say no with no loss of function.

What analytics does and doesn't see

It sees pages, actions and rough location. It does not receive your email, your name, the contents of anything you post, your practice videos, or your payment details — that's enforced in our code, not just promised.

Your data, your call

Ask and you can have a copy of everything we hold on you, corrections to it, or the whole account deleted. Deletion means deletion — your posts, check-ins and uploaded video go too.

Who else is involved

Microsoft Azure (hosting, in the UK), Cloudflare R2 (your practice videos), Stripe (payments), Google Analytics (usage), and Azure Communication Services (email). Each sees only what it needs to do its job.
